Middle School Language Arts
2/14/2024
This is to notify both parents and students that no late work will be accepted after February 26 for the second trimester, which ends March 1, 2024. This is so that I have time to grade any late assignments that come in and enter the scores into the computer while still teaching every day.

Welcome to my Middle School Language Arts Weebly Webpage! Students will be doing some of their assignments through Microsoft Teams, but there will also still be paper/pencil assignments. As major things that you need to be aware of change for my classes, I will make sure to post them here.
**Parents,
The homework dates and assignments are subject to change based on the focus, flow, and needs of each class on a daily basis. The provided dates serve as a guideline as to the assignment expectations. Daily changes will not necessarily be updated in "real time". Please refer to your child's assignment notebook for daily homework confirmation. Homework is written daily in a dedicated location for all to see.
Thank you.
Welcome to Middle School Language Arts at Holy Apostles, New Berlin. I'm Mrs. Michelle Bula, your child's teacher for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. In my class, your child will be learning the rules of grammar, enriching their vocabulary, and expanding their writing abilities. We will also focus on test preparation for the high school placement test taken at the beginning of 8th grade.
My behavior expectations are fairly predictable. Homework and classwork needs to be completed in order to prepare for assessments. Students are also expected to behave in a manner that is conducive to learning for both themselves and others in the class. We have discussed as a group how this should look and sound in the classroom, and these expectations are posted on the wall.
Relearning opportunities will be offered for students who have struggled to show proficiency with content material. This may present itself in many different forms, including but not limited to oral questioning/answering, additional assignments, added research/writing opportunities, or other depending upon the unique circumstance. These opportunities are meant to show proficiency in a subject and not to raise academic achievement scores.
